Meet Our Director Cynthia Kovar


Cynthia was raised in Ennis and has recently moved back to provide the quality care our young children need and deserve.  She began her career in the field of early childhood shortly after high school graduation as a teacher in a childcare setting working with all age groups, eventually moving into management.  She also worked in one of the top children’s hospitals in the child development department, providing patients with age appropriate skill building opportunities while in the hospital.

Her experiences in the classroom and hospital settings provide an inside look from many angles including knowledge as a parent, teacher and manager.  Cynthia is recognized for her leadership abilities and her passion for working with children and their families.  Her philosophy about a child’s development goes hand in hand with Cedar Ridge goals and together will create an enriching and nurturing environment that encourages learning and exploring through play and day to day life skills.

Cynthia holds a bachelor’s degree in Child Development from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas.

Cynthia and her husband, Robert, are proud parents of one son named Blake who attends Cedar Ridge.
